Dr. Masaya Yamamoto

After serving a Japanese civilian heavy electrical company as a space system engineer for 8 years, he joined Weathernews Inc., a private weather forecasting company, where he applied his skills and knowledge of system engineering to more effective weather forecasting. He started the first nano-satellite project in the company, and the first satellite will be launched in 2010 or 2011. He received his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Tokyo in 1986.
