Dr Sidiki ZONGO

Dr Sidiki ZONGO

Université Joseph Ki-Zerbo, Burkina Faso

Dr Sidiki ZONGO is currently working with the Ministry of High Education, Research and Innovation on the National Space Science and Technology Program Initiative and is one of the contact persons at the Université Joseph Ki-Zerbo.

Dr ZONGO holds a PhD in Physics from the College of Science, Engineering & Technology at the UNISA and joined since November 2017 the Department of Physics at Université Joseph KI-ZERBO as a Lecturer and Researcher. Dr Sidiki ZONGO graduated from the University of Ouagadougou (currently Université Joseph KI-ZERBO) in Burkina Faso in 2010 with a BSc & Hon. of Physics. In August 2010, he moved to Cape Town in South Africa, where he completed his Post-Graduate diplomat at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) in June 2011 and obtained an MSc degree in Physics from the University of the Western Cape (UWC) in March 2013. He has attended numerous international meetings and conferences, including the 66th Physics Nobel Laureates Meeting (Germany). Dr ZONGO is a DAAD, African Laser Centre (ALC), AGNES Junior Research Grant and NAM S&T Research and Training Fellowship awardee. He is also a UNESCO-UNISA Chair in Nanoscience/Nanotechnology Fellow. Dr ZONGO's research interests cover NLO-Photonics and renewable energy. He is interested in Space Science and Technology. Dr ZONGO is an active member of NanoAfnet, the West African Society of Physics (WASP) and the African Materials Research Society (AMRS). Dr ZONGO is also a reviewer in Optical Materials & Optical and Quantum Electronics.
