Mr. Carvajal-Godinez has an Electronic Engineering degree with a Master in Modern Manufacturing Systems from the Costa Rica Institute of Technology. He is currently a Ph.D. Researcher in the Space Engineering Department at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering of the Delft University of Technology.
He has been a lecturer and research staff of the Electronic Engineering Department of Costa Rica Institute of Technology since 2008 where he organized and raised funds for international student competitions.
He was project manager of Irazu, the first Central American Satellite during 2013-2014. Then, he supported the core team on software design activities and systems engineering.
His research focus is on onboard navigation computers, specialized on novel computational models as well as systems engineering aspects. He also has an interest in novel mission concepts and instrument that can be integrated into missions with small satellites.
