Bonny Omara

Bonny Omara is one of the three cohort engineers who designed, built, and tested Uganda's first satellite.
Bonny works for the Government of the Republic of Uganda under Science, Technology, and Innovation.
He obtained a Master of Science in Space Engineering International Course from Kyushu Institute of Technology, a Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering from Busitema University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Information System Management from the Uganda Management Institute, and an Advanced Certificate in Spatial Information Technology for Urban Planning and Management from Chennai, India.
Bonny's work focuses on the application of remote sensing in addressing the challenges of the citizenry, and he published a paper entitled "Utilization of Uganda's First Satellite in Addressing Its Challenges" that was presented in October 2022 in Istanbul, Turkey, at the 11th Nano Satellite Symposium.
